OUR RISING STARS: ST. MATTHEW’S PREPARATORY SCHOOL PUPILS SHINE ON 102 MEGA FM

We are excited to share a heart-warming story, featuring some of our talented pupils, including ten-year-old Akello Abigail, and her peers from St. Matthews Preparatory School Laroo who featured on the kid’s show on Radio Mega 102FM Gulu. On October 28, 2023, Akello had the incredible opportunity to shine as she anchored the morning news during the kids’ program on 102 Mega FM in Gulu.

The highlight of the kids’ program extended beyond Akello’s news reading; it featured a thoughtful discussion on the topic of “savings and its benefits.” This engaging conversation was moderated by Rachkara Emmanuel from Primary 3 and featured participants including Akello Abigail from Primary 4, Lagum Ethan Elijah Hayes from Primary 3, Obiya Francis from Primary 4, Okot Noel Deogracious from Primary 3, and Ocira Precious Linchana Primary 3.

During this discussion, these young minds eloquently explored the numerous advantages of saving, emphasizing its significance in a way that resonated with the audience. Their insights were not only informative but also inspiring, showcasing their understanding of financial responsibility and the importance of planning for the future.

Mega FM 102 FM Gulu, a renowned community radio station in Uganda, is dedicated to bringing informative programs that benefit listeners from Luo communities in northern Uganda.
